Course Objectives Students in this course; is aimed to comprehend the relationship between physical activity with health and age.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • To be able to comprehend the realationship between physical activity and health.
  • To be able to discuss obesity, weight control snd physical activity.
  • To be able to explain the different environmental and psychological factors related to physical activity.
  • To be able to define the physiological effects of aging.
  • To be able to explain the effects of physical activity og aginig.
Course Description This course includes: physical activity and health, the definition of physical activity, MET values of the different activities, the burned calories during activities, the importance of nutrition, the cardiopulmonary risk factors, obesity, weight contol and physical activity, diabetes, environmental factors, physical activities in elder population, ergogenic aids and physical activity, the physicological effects of physical activity and body mechanics.
